The Midea ECO Series is a heat and cool DC inverter AC with a T3 TropicPro compressor, sold in 1 ton, 1.5 ton and 2 ton. It keeps cooling when the outside temperature reaches 60°C, and in winter it heats the same room. It is a simple, no-WiFi model for buyers who want Midea’s T3 build and the 2026 warranty but don’t need app control.

Which Midea ECO size do you need?

• 1 ton (MSAG2B-12HRDN1): 12,000 BTU/h cooling and 13,000 BTU/h heating. Suits a bedroom or study of up to about 120 sq ft, such as a 10×12 room.
• 1.5 ton (MSAG2C-18HRDN1): 18,000 BTU/h cooling and heating. Suits about 150 to 200 sq ft, such as a 12×14 or 14×14 room.
• 2 ton (MSAG2D-24HRDN1): 24,000 BTU/h cooling and heating. Suits a lounge or large room of about 200 to 300 sq ft.

• T3 TropicPro compressor: built for high outdoor heat, Midea rates it for non-stop cooling up to 60°C. That matters in June, when ordinary units slow down or trip.

Does the Midea ECO inverter AC heat in winter?

Yes. All three sizes are heat and cool models. The 1.5 ton gives 18,000 BTU/h of heat for 1,485 W input, so it warms a room without gas.

What is the difference between Midea ECO and Xtreme Plus?

Both have T3 compressors rated for 60°C and the same 12-year compressor warranty. The Midea Xtreme Plus 1.5 ton adds WiFi app control and uses less power for the same cooling (1,620 W against 2,050 W at 1.5 ton). The ECO suits buyers who want the same T3 build and warranty but don’t need the app.

Will the Midea ECO run on a UPS or during low voltage?

It is built for a wide voltage range, so normal evening voltage dips don’t stop it. On a UPS or generator, set Gear Shift to 50% or 75% to keep the load within what your backup can supply.

Is the Midea ECO 1 ton enough for a bedroom?
